BE AN AUTHOR & EARN REVENUE

  • How does this work?

What we have done is setup a system so the ad revenue can be shared between all active members of this blog.

This blog displays 6 google ads on a page. On the main index page administrator ads are displayed. Author’s ads will be displayed 70% of the time when his post is displayed. We use Google AdSense to automatically serve relevant ads for the content on the page. Google pays AdSense publishers on a per click basis as well as per impression. As the number of posts increases, author’s revenue increases as his page views increase.

If an author has an AdSense account, they have the ability to credit their account with the ads served on threads they start or participate in.

If you have any questions, please feel free to write to actressupdates@gmail.com

  • Why are you doing this?

A blog is all about posts. So I figure why not increase the popularity of the site by allowing users to post and make money.

  • What are the requirements?

The only requirement is that you must have an AdSense account through Google. If you don’t have, please click here to get one.

  • Is this allowed by Google?

I have gone over the AdSense terms and conditions a few times (both the Overview and the legal version), and I’m not able to find anything to suggest that it’s not allowed. But if you know (or believe) otherwise, I would like to hear from you. There are many other bigger sites that follow the same procedure of revenue sharing. For more details, visit www.google.com/adsense/

  • How do I set it up?

You will have to be an author of this blog. Please click here to sign up.

Once you have signed up, login to your dashboard from the ‘login‘ link on top right corner of the site. Click here to do so.

Your dashboard will look similar to this:

Click on the ‘adsense‘ link on the top left side of your dashboard. It will open a new page where you can enter your adsense id (pub-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx). Save changes, and you are done.

Now start writing your first post. Please make sure that you do quality posts. You won’t receive page views, if your posts are not good enough.

  • I’m worried about you having my AdSense Client ID.

The only info we need for it is info that is publicly available, if you look at the source of any page that has your AdSense ads.

If you are still worried about it then the best thing to do is not participate.

  • How can I make sure that my ads are displayed for my posts?

You can do it with ease. Just load a post of yours in your web browser and view its source. You can see your publisher id displayed there.
